In reply to Jesse Hodgdon. I love it that you've found an author you've connected to so much! I totally agree about her characters and the humor she manages to bring to into her stories. I haven't read any Mauve Binchy, but I will definitely check her out.

I have now read or listened to (through Libby and my public library – thank you libraries!) all of Emily Henry’s adult books and I want to write to her to tell her how much her novels spoke to me. I live in Ashland, home of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. At a book discussion one of the directors was speaking about how a play has a beginning, middle and end, yes, AND the idea is that the audience leaves changed by what they saw. I had just been thinking that same thought in regard to Emily’s books; I finish not only touched or moved, changed. She sheds light on issues and or perspectives that give me possibilities for situations in my own life. I love that she demonstrates such humor in her characters’ repartee and conversations, offering the possibility that things can be lighter than I might think they “should.” Thank you for your input into my Emily Henry search and fun to hear your opinion of “best Emily.” My fave choice: Great Big Beautiful Life!
As a die-hard Mauve Binchy fan, I had asked for similar authors and Emily and Evie Wood were recommended. They have added to my world exponentially; uplifting with a little magic on the side!

I love these books. Currently waiting for Happy Place. Her books always have such a long wait list at the library.

I’ve read Book Lovers and Beach Read and I absolutely loved them both but I did not know that Emily Henry had written more YA based books before her more recent Fiction / Rom-Coms. I love the sound of some of her earlier works, so thank you for this!
